Metro Detroit's
in-home baby carrier setup
So you’re ready the day you come home.
Whenever you're ready, there's a session for you.
Some families book before baby arrives to be completely ready from day one. Some book the week they come home when the carrier suddenly feels urgent. Some book months later when they realize they still haven't figured it out.
All of them leave knowing exactly what they're doing.
There's no wrong time to get support. There's only now.
Meet Your Babywearing Specialist
Kelsey Hughes
I'm Kelsey — a Certified Babywearing Consultant and the founder of Carry MI Baby. With a background in Child Development from Michigan State and years of hands-on work with Metro Detroit families, I specialize in newborn setup; fitting your specific carrier to your body, your baby, and the way you actually live.
Most clients come to me in their third trimester. They leave with a setup that works from day one.
What to Expect
“Kelsey is absolutely amazing to work with! She met with me one-on-one to go over using a ring sling as I prepare for my newborn, which gave me so much confidence!
Her tips on comfort and safety were so helpful. Kelsey is such a wealth of knowledge. She is very caring, supportive, and is always going above and beyond for moms and babies!”

Now. Whether you're pregnant, just home from the hospital, or three months in and still not using the carrier sitting in the corner, there's a session for where you are. The best time to get support is whenever you're ready for it.
-
Yes! And this is one of the best things you can do in your third trimester. We set up your carrier completely so that when you come home from the hospital, you're not learning for the first time while sleep-deprived. You just pick up your baby and go.
-
Not even close. Most families book after baby arrives when it suddenly becomes very real that the carrier needs to work today. We'll get your setup dialed in wherever you are, newborn through the first year.
-
Bring what you have, or bring nothing. Part of the session can include helping you figure out what carrier actually makes sense for your body, your baby, and how you live. You won't leave without a clear answer.
-
Heck yes! Safe positioning (airway, hips, spine) is exactly what we cover so you know what to look and feel for every single time. No more second-guessing.
-
I come to your home in Metro Detroit or Southeast Michigan. We work with your carrier, your body, and your actual routine, not a generic demo setup. Sessions are 90 minutes. Follow-up support is included so you're not on your own the moment I leave.
